Introduction: Dr. Bizzell earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1992 from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He then completed General Practice residencies at the University of Louisville Hospital and the Brooklyn Hospital Center. Dr. Bizzell served as a general dentistry officer in the United States Public Health Service for four years, earning the rank of Lieutenant Commander. During this period he also served as an attending dentist at the NY Manhattan VA Medical Center. From 1999-2002 he studied periodontics and implant dentistry at the NY Manhattan VA Medical Center and earned his specialty certificate in July 2002.
Dr. Bizzell is an active member of the New York County Dental Society, serving on the public relations committee. He is also a member of the New York State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Northeastern Society of Periodontists.
Dr. Bizzell serves as a reserve officer in the US Public Health Service.
